Our History

After years of searching for classic, luxury handbags that were leather-free and vegan, Jill Fraser founded Jill Milan in 2010 with her partner, Milan Lazich. Jill Fraser has been vegan for over 20 years. Prior to that, she was vegetarian for 15 years.

Each bag is made in Italy by artisans who craft the best luxury accessories in the world. Bags are sewn by hand and the metalwork on Jill Milan's bags is handmade.

Jill Milan’s atelier has made luxury handbags for generations and holds first quality certifications ISO 9001 and social accountability SA 8000. Employees receive excellent wages, have health insurance, and paid vacations.

 

Commitment to the future

We are committed to reducing waste from our manufacturing process and sell all the products we make. We never destroy any of our bags.

We are constantly searching for new, eco-friendly materials. We work with Tuscan fabric suppliers to reduce our carbon footprint.

Our designers have worked for companies such as Prada and Judith Leiber. They have attended leading European design schools, and know how to make beautiful, timeless bags.
